- Started to paint at the age of fifteen.
- 1953 - 1958: College of Arts named after Terlemizian, Armenia (art, painting, Physics, Chemistry, Math, etc.).
- 1958 - 1962: Art Academy and Supreme College of Arts named after Mukhina, St. Petersburg.

- From 1961 to 1996 presented several paintings and graphics to the Central Exhibition Hall in Moscow (Russia).

- 1984: Acknowledged Artist of the Republic of Armenia (the highest state award)

Periods of creative work:
- 1961 - 1963: Tashism. Drawing with bright and explicit colors.
- 1963 - 1964: Withering gamma. The colors become slightly faded, and blue and green start to dominate.
- From 1964 to present: Faded Colors. Approaching classical Renaissance (Italian, French, German) but in his own and individual way. The painter's motto is: "Drinking from the original spring/source". Creation of a personal genre.
- 1996: Moves to Canada (Vancouver).
