Hakob Kojoian's (1883-1959) canvasses are equally influenced by the pathos of his times.  His contributions to the further development of Armenian graphic art remains unsurpassed.  No matter what the subject is, Kojoian combines the ancient and the modern equally in his works.  His very individualistic talent links the people's past with the present in every picture or graphic.  Kojoian was born in a goldsmith's family and he himself was also trained in the craft.  A graduate from the Munik Art School, another school awaited him: in Armenian the art of miniature which he studied in great detail.
